From wanting to take corners at maximum speeds, to getting on plane faster, the Crestliner Active Performance Hull gives your boat maximum strength and performance. Available on the 1950 & 1850 Sportfish, the 1750 & 1850 Super Hawk, and the 1750 & 1850 Fish Hawk.

Deep V Hulls

Deep V-shaped hulls provide the smoothest ride in rough water because the hull knifes cleanly through waves rather than pounding the way a flat-bottom does. However, at low speeds, aluminum boats with this shape of hull have reduced stability and will have more drag. The greater drag means that the deep-V hull requires more power to reach optimal speed. The smoothness of the ride, however, is what makes this design so popular for sportfishing boats, like Crestliners.

Crestliner AP-X Hull

Different from the typical deep-V hull, the Crestliner Active Performance (AP-X) Hull is an innovative recessed pad design that features dual tracking edges to actively channel water to the prop for instant lift and enhanced performance/responsiveness through heavy chop, allowing you to stay on track. Owners will experience maximum control, acceleration, and increased engine performance with maximum fuel efficiency. Additionally, at lower speeds, the AP-X provides precision tracking so that when fishing, you can stay on top of the fish.

NO OTHER HULLS HAVE A COMBINATION OF:

  • Dual Tracking Edges
  • Dual Channel Recessed Pads
  • Full-Length Keel
  • Variable Degree Reverse Chine

How The New Design Works

Like other Crestliners, this design still includes a seamlessly welded, full-length aluminum keel, but this time, it has an inverted pad hull into the keel! Your keel will be perfectly matched up with the start of your lower motor unit, and your recessed pads will feed water directly into your water intake; this new set-up means that when you’re chopping through water, the water will be flowing smoothly across your lower unit, below your anti-ventilation plates. Additionally, with the recess pad design, instant lift will be created for an accelerated holeshot, and with the continuous flow of undisturbed water, you will get the most out of your engine.
